In case you missed it last week, Sherry Chris, president and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate, and three affiliated brokers spanning the country from Atlanta to San Francisco ranked among the nation’s most powerful figures in residential real estate, says industry consultant Swanepoel | T3 Group.
The Swanepoel POWER 200 named the “Most Powerful People in Residential Real Estate 2014/15.” Among them:
- Sherry Chris, BHGRE® president and CEO
- Ed Krafchow, chairman of Better Homes and Gardens® Mason-McDuffie Real Estate in San Francisco
- Kevin Levent, president and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate Metro Brokers in Atlanta
- Mark Woodroof, managing partner at Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate Gary Greene in Houston
Swanepoel evaluates leaders’ personal influence, tenure, decision-making power, geographic reach, contributions to the industry, and other factors. The goal is to identify those thought leaders who most influence and lead the residential real estate brokerage industry.
Sherry Chris was recognized in the Corporate category, which encompasses CEOs and other top executives. Sherry has more than 30 years of real estate experience and has held senior management positions at Royal LePage, Real Living, and Pru California. She has led BHGRE since 2007 and serves on the advisory boards of Realtor.com and Zillow.
Ed Krafchow was recognized in the Brokerage category, the largest and most competitive in the Swanepoel survey. Leading a team of more than 1,100 agents at 30 offices from his home base in Pleasanton, California, Ed has tripled the company’s annual sales to $3 billion and has been closely involved with developing WebTop Intranet, a technology platform for generating leads and fostering efficient business processes.
Kevin Levent joined Metro Brokers in Atlanta in 1985 as a sales agent and rose to his current role as CEO in 1996, along the way helping grow the company to more than 3,000 agents. He also was recognized in the Brokerage category. Before joining BHGRE, Metro Brokers became the largest GMAC franchise in the country in 2001. Kevin currently sits on the advisory board of First Multiple Listing Service.
Also cited in the Brokerage category, Mark Woodroof is a principal in a company that does more than $2.2 billion in annual sales from 20 offices across metropolitan Houston.He is also a member of the Zillow Broker Advisory Board.
