To my colleagues at BHGRE®,
Tomorrow morning, I will be flying to Ahuachapán, El Salvador. The purpose of my journey will be to meet with the families who are moving into their new homes that have been funded through your generosity and the generosity of many of our friends. Our Better Homes and Gardens® Real Estate community, in partnership with New Story, is taking shape!
You may recall just over a year ago we announced our commitment to build a BHGRE® Community of 80 homes in El Salvador. So far, many of you have generated enough donations to build 43 homes!! That is a fantastic result, but our work is not finished. We have 37 families still waiting to move into what will be for many of them the first real home they have ever lived in.
That got me thinking – what if each of you were to click on the link below and donate $20? Well, the result would be a finished community fully funded before the weekend is over!
I leave to come back on Sunday. How amazing would it be to let each family know their new home will now be under construction before I get on the plane back to New Jersey?! And, here is the best part of this project – each of the families have committed to paying forward the cost of their home over time so more and more families will have the opportunity to have a proper roof over their heads.
