href=\"http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2011\/09\/20\/real_estate\/storm_shelter_sales\/index.htm?iid=SF_M_Lead\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">seeing record sales<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 In fact, the owner of Arkansas Storm Shelters said he&#8217;s had more inquires for shelters this year than in the previous seven combined. \u00a0In some regions, a storm shelter on the premises could be a strong selling point for homes.<\/p>\n<p>It could turn out that baby boomer fans of The Rolling Stones might have other plans for their cash than attending a reunion tour next year.\u00a0 AOL Real Estate reports that Walt Molony of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), <a href=\"http:\/\/realestate.aol.com\/blog\/2011\/09\/16\/will-baby-boomers-rock-the-housing-market\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">believes people ages 47 to 65<\/span><\/a>, may be in a better position to buy than they have been in years.\u00a0 The article points out that boomers are poised to reinvigorate the housing market because they have a home equity cushion to fall back on and, as a group, boomers like to change their lifestyle.\u00a0 Are you beginning to see any \u201cchange of lifestyle\u201d boomer sales?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-7153\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/bhgrealestateblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Pens1-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"146\" height=\"214\" \/>It was once considered a good deal when mortgage rates dipped <a href=\"http:\/\/www.highbeam.com\/doc\/1P2-4321372.html\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">below seven percent<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 This week, news came of 30-year fixed mortgages hovering <a href=\"http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2011\/09\/15\/real_estate\/record_mortgage_rates\/index.htm?iid=SF_M_River\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">around four percent<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 However, the low rates have yet to translate into home sales, as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/personal-finance\/2011\/09\/22\/mortgage-rates-sink-to-record-low\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">about four-fifths of loan applications<\/span><\/a> are for refinances according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.\u00a0 Hopefully a robust refinance market will create some equity that moves the housing
