Due to increasing rental prices and plummeting interest rates, owning a two-bedroom home is <a href=\"http:\/\/tv.ibtimes.com\/buying-beats-renting-in-most-u-s-cities\/1637.html\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">cheaper than renting<\/span><\/a> in 50 of the largest U.S. cities, <a href=\"http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2011\/08\/16\/real_estate\/buy_rent\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">according to Trulia<\/span><\/a>. The site determined that Las Vegas is owner-friendliest vs. renting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKangaroo apartments\u201d are making leaps and bounds\u2026 These in-law suites, as they are more commonly known, are becoming more popular as rental properties for an extra income source or for adult children to care for elderly parents,<em> <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/money\/economy\/housing\/2011-08-17-real-estate-in-law-suites_n.htm\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><em>USA Today <\/em>reports.<\/span><\/a><em> <\/em>(Check out the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/money\/economy\/housing\/2011-08-17-tips-for-creating-an-in-law-unit_n.htm\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">pros and cons<\/span><\/a> here). \u00a0As cities change rules to ease the restrictions of second units, this trend will surely continue.
