The former rapper announced this week that he has created a new website, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vanillaicerealestate.com\/\">Vanilla Ice Real Estate<\/a>, to provide advice on buying and selling a home.\u00a0 What kind of advice, you may ask? \u00a0Well, unbeknownst to many, Vanilla Ice has 16 years of extensive real estate experience, and at one time starred in a reality TV show about renovating homes titled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=IrNiiNRCvYo\">\u201cThe Vanilla Ice Project.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Looking to garden at home but don\u2019t have any space? \u00a0Consider a <a href=\"http:\/\/realestate.msn.com\/gardens-get-vertical\">vertical garden<\/a>. \u00a0Or, as they have also been called, living walls. \u00a0Introduced in the 1980s, vertical gardens are a way for people in urban areas to liven up a small space or otherwise unused walls. \u00a0But these gardens are not just for looks \u2013 when <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pingmag.jp\/2006\/12\/08\/vertical-garden-the-art-of-organic-architecture\/\">installed on exterior walls<\/a>, vertical gardens can help to reduce the heat that a building absorbs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Bloomberg Businessweek compiled a list of <a href=\"http:\/\/images.businessweek.com\/slideshows\/20110621\/america-s-most-promising-social-entrepreneurs-2011\/\">25 private, for profit social enterprises<\/a>, that tackle social issues. \u00a0Some are startups, dealing with affordable housing for seniors or creating apps to help health-care workers, while others are multimillion dollar businesses. \u00a0Read through the business profiles and <a href=\"http:\/\/images.businessweek.com\/slideshows\/20110621\/america-s-most-promising-social-entrepreneurs-2011\/slides\/27\">consider voting<\/a> for what you feel is the most promising by July 12<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">And finally, building a new home can be a complicated and difficult for anyone, even <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.wsj.com\/developments\/2011\/06\/17\/u2-guitarists-plans-to-build-modest-compound-rejected\/\">U2\u2019s \u201cThe Edge<\/a>.\u201d \u00a0The international rock legend\u2019s plan to build on his Malibu property has been rejected by The Coastal Commission, who said The Edge\u2019s plans are \u201ca contradiction in terms \u2014 you can\u2019t be serious about being an environmentalist and pick this location given the effects on habitat, land formation, scenic views and water quality.\u201d\u00a0 Looks like The Edge will have to cut some corners from his grand plan!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s summertime, and if the warm weather has inspired you to start looking for a vacation home, now is a great time to buy! \u00a0This week MSN Real Estate looked at the hottest vacation real estate markets as identified by Clear Capital.\u00a0 Palm Springs, Hilton Head, Napa and Tahoe all made the list of idyllic [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":181,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[61],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-6802","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-commentary"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
