Some were controversial (<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.wsj.com\/venturecapital\/2011\/02\/06\/that-was-fast-groupons-super-bowl-ad-draws-backlash-video\/\">Groupon<\/a>\u2019s play on the <a href=\"http:\/\/newsfeed.time.com\/2011\/02\/07\/and-the-most-offensive-super-bowl-ad-goes-to-groupon\/\">political oppression<\/a> of the Tibetan people), some were cute (<a href=\"http:\/\/latimesblogs.latimes.com\/showtracker\/2011\/02\/careerbuilder.html\">Careerbuilder\u2019s car-driving chimpanzees<\/a>) and others geeky (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/8301-31749_162-20030826-10391698.html\">Volkswagen\u2019s mini Darth Vader<\/a>). According to <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/money\/advertising\/admeter\/2011\/super-bowl-ad-meter\/43271432\/1\">USA Today<\/a>, <\/em>though, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/2011\/02\/07\/133559869\/two-dog-ads-tie-for-best-in-super-bowl\">Bud Light and Doritos<\/a> tie for the best of ads of the night. Do you agree?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ads, of course, aim to gain recognition and increase brand loyalty. Speaking of loyalty, a new survey out this week found that of all social media channels, Facebook has the most <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mediapost.com\/publications\/?fa=Articles.showArticle&amp;art_aid=144422\">loyal and engaged consumers. <\/a>Twitter, interestingly, comes in fifth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">After a very public \u201cbreak up\u201d in 2004 that ended 43 years together, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/2011\/02\/06\/barbie-ken-reuniting-split\/#ixzz1DI0kstaW\">Barbie and Ken<\/a> may be reuniting. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/article2\/0,2817,2379502,00.asp\">doll\u2019s manufacturer, Mattel<\/a>, is drumming up serious conversation on Facebook and Twitter on whether such a reunion should happen. This is a great example of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/tech\/news\/2011-02-05-barbie-ken_N.htm\">social media campaign<\/a> targeted at a loyal customer base involving a blitz on all major fronts: a dedicated website, Twitter, Facebook, FourSquare, and Hulu. A new social network, <a href=\"http:\/\/mashable.com\/2011\/02\/02\/foodily\/\">Foodily<\/a>, has launched. <a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2011\/02\/01\/foodily-brings-social-goodness-and-menu-sharing-to-recipe-search-engine\/\">The site<\/a> indexes millions of recipes from hundreds of websites, and lets users see recipes that their friends like and create events on Facebook to make planning for parties and dinners easier, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/tech\/news\/2011-02-02-socialfood02_ST_N.htm\">according to <em>USA Today. <\/em><\/a>Are your knives sharpened?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">If you prefer Monet to Emeril Lagasse, Google rolled out its <a href=\"http:\/\/mashable.com\/2011\/02\/01\/google-art-project\/\">Art Project<\/a>, essentially a \u201cGoogle Street View\u201d for many of the world\u2019s renowned art <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2011\/02\/07\/arts\/design\/07google.html\">museums<\/a>. What tour will you go on first?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">If you are inspired to update your status at 30,000 feet, you are in luck. Gogo Inflight Internet and Ford have teamed up with major airlines to offer <a href=\"http:\/\/mashable.com\/2011\/02\/01\/airlines-free-facebook\/\">free in-flight Facebook access<\/a> this month.
