Everything I heard and read piqued my interest and raised my level of anticipation for\u00a0a wonderful dining experience.\u00a0 As always, the real test is always in the actual experience and everyone at Scalini Fedeli lived up to my expectations and more,\u00a0delivering one notch above\u00a0throughout the evening.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">From the first glass of champagne to the mascarpone gelato and every course between, the cuisine was the icing on the cake, an accompaniment to the style, elegance and impeccable service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">My standards are simple; I know what I want, I ask for it. If the provider cannot or does not meet my needs, I don&#8217;t return.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not mean or obnoxious, I don&#8217;t make a scene, I simply take them off my radar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Is that what happens after a real estate transaction? Do\u00a0we deliver a less-than-memorable experience\u00a0that results in buyers\u00a0taking us off their radar?\u00a0 I&#8217;d venture to say yes.\u00a0 In 2008 nearly 50% of buyers worked with an agent who was referred to them.\u00a0 Interestingly, only 11% worked with the same agent in their next transaction.\u00a0 This very revealing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realtor.org\/\">statistic<\/a> raises two questions.\u00a0 Where did they go, and why didn&#8217;t they come back?\u00a0 The answer to the first question doesn&#8217;t matter &#8211; they&#8217;re gone.\u00a0 The answer to the second however, can open the door to more repeat business for real estate agents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Buyers tells us the most important thing we can do for them is help them find the right home to purchase, which doesn&#8217;t sound like a very tall order yet home moving ranks third among the most stressful life experiences according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldwideerc.org\/Pages\/index.aspx\">Employee Relocation Council <\/a>and that&#8217;s where the service experience, not merely service, comes into play.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Here are five things I\u00a0would do if I was working with\u00a0buyers today:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">1. I would ask, not tell.\u00a0 It&#8217;s about them, not you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">2.\u00a0 I would work to uncover their motivation, not just their goal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">3. I would\u00a0\u00a0make certain my standards of\u00a0business align with their expectations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">4.\u00a0 I would follow through with checkpoints and make adjustments along the way to be sure I was meeting and exceeding expectations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">5.
