Americans typically change jobs every four years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 12.55pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 8.5pt;color: #000000\">Despite the enormous pool of talent out there, many of us often have a difficult time attracting new talent to our companies. Thirty-five percent of organizations recently surveyed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.careerbuilder.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CareerBuilder.com <\/a>said they couldn&#8217;t find qualified talent for openings. If you isolated the real estate industry in those results, I bet you would get a much higher number.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 12.55pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 8.5pt;color: #000000\">Of particular interest is attracting Gen X and Gen Y agents. These candidates research and consider career options very differently than the generations before them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 12.55pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 8.5pt;color: #000000\">Just like home buyers and sellers search online for listings and neighborhood information, Gen X and Y rely on the Internet as their primary source for career information. They are often disappointed by the careers sections of real estate websites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 12.55pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 8.5pt;color: #000000\">Gen X and Gen Y are not looking for static information on web pages &#8211; they are looking for interaction and engagement. They want to do things like\u00a0watch video, take career simulations and attend virtual career events.\u00a0You need to provide them with information that answers their questions about a career in real estate and gets them engaged with your company.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 12.55pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 8.5pt;color: #000000\">Have a look at your careers section.
