    Which of our BHGRE\u00ae<\/sup> P.A.I.G.E. (Passion, Authenticity, Innovation, Growth, Excellence) core values do you identify with most, and why? <\/strong><\/h4>\n

    Authenticity would be the core value I identify with the most. To me, being authentic in your passion, authentic in recognizing your weaknesses to allow for growth, and authentically wanting to embrace innovation and achieve excellence, are key to my own personal successes. I pride myself on being happy with ME, not trying to be anyone else. It\u2019s great to have those you admire, but your success lies in who you are and how much work you are willing to put in to accomplish your goals. There are many things that have changed the dynamic of how we as REALTOR\u00ae<\/sup>s do business. So, sure, incorporate those systems into your business model but always be yourself. Differentiate from the crowd, don\u2019t just be a part of it.<\/li>\n

    What are your favorite qualities in a customer?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    Well, being in the Army made me very appreciative of order. So, I actually like when customers have done their homework, are organized, and have a conscious plan of action. Now that\u2019s not to say that I\u2019m not willing to hold hands. I\u2019m also partial to the customers that are buying their first home and need professional guidance. It is priceless to see the joy on their faces as you hand them the keys to their new home.<\/li>\n

    What is the one characteristic that\u2019s helped you the most in your career?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    The one characteristic that has helped me the most has been selflessness. Being as helpful as I can to my customers, clients and colleagues. Many times I get told that I do too much. Well, my feeling is that I would rather go above and beyond, than to do too little. If you can, DO!<\/li>\n

    What was the last book you read?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    I\u2019m currently reading and studying Virginia Real Estate Law in order to get my VA license. Does that count?<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    If you were not in real estate, what would you be doing?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    This is a hard one because I have a thousand ideas floating around in my head in any given moment. However, I have always wanted to pursue fine art photography.<\/li>\n

  6. \n

    What was the last song you heard that you couldn\u2019t stop humming?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    Ed Sheeran\u2019s, “Thinking Out Loud.” Love that song, but I\u2019m pretty sure 70 is the new 60. Maybe he should have picked 83 as the cut-off. What do I know? I\u2019m not a songwriter, so I digress\u2026<\/li>\n

    Who is your real-life hero?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    My grandmother! She passed away earlier this year and was the epitome of selfless servant. If I can grow up to be half the woman she was and give as much of my heart as she did, then I could say I lived a full life. I miss her dearly.<\/li>\n

    What\u2019s your favorite thing about social media<\/strong>?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    I like the ability to network globally. I\u2019ve been able to connect with folks that are fantastic resources in and out of the real estate industry.<\/li>\n

  9. \n

    If you could sell a home in any market in the world, where would it be?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    Houston has low inventory causing a hot seller\u2019s market right now, and I\u2019m content with selling here.<\/li>\n

  10. \n

    What is your favorite motto, and what advice would you give your younger self starting out in real estate<\/strong>?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    \u201cThe only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.\u201d \u2013 Franklin Delano Roosevelt<\/p>\n

    It goes without saying that fear is the number one thing that holds people back from accomplishing goals. I would tell my younger self to take that fear and turn it into drive. Push past it and know that once you get to the other side of fear, the sky opens up and you can see the light. Just keep going or the fear will keep you stuck in place, unable to move forward.<\/p>\n

    I still deal with bouts of fear and every encounter makes me stronger. I have to credit Karlton Utter with helping me push past one of my recurring fears, picking up the phone.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
